Our STORY
In 1984, likeminded individuals formed the “Modh Gandhi Samaj of Ontario Canada” with a vision to bring the Modh Gandhi community together by offering various religious and social activities. Since that time, the Modh Gandhi has grown and has sponsored numerous events such as Holi, Bhajans, Picnics, Navratri Raas Garba, Diwali and Christmas celebrations and senior’s and youth events.
Over the years, the Samaj has grown to encompass the whole of the Ontario region, other parts of Canada, the United States of America and continues its base to other parts of the world. The Samaj has a professional corporate structure in place with a Board of Trustees together with a Board of Directors duly elected through a general election process by the samaj members.

To maintain the Indian culture and heritage in our present day society for our next generation and generations to come. To promote Gujarati culture and heritage through exhibitions and events on Arts, Music and cultural performances. To provide resource, mentorships, scholarships and awards for individual of Gujarati origin which can assist in fostering their talents

As Vice President of MGSOC, I support our mission to preserve Indian culture and heritage while promoting community youth and women empowerment across the GTA. I collaborate with committee members to lead cultural programs, drive strategic initiatives, and foster inclusive growth. My goal is to ensure MGSOC remains a vibrant and united community rooted in tradition and progress.

Program Coordinator - I am the quietly active member of MGSOC. I have a passion for organizing events which unlock hidden potential and open up new opportunities. We are not here just to live day-to-day, but to live our unique lives to the best of our abilities. Each of us have a responsibility to uphold our religion, culture, traditions, and values. It's not just about having fun. It's about giving back to the community, honoring the senior generation, and shaping the future generation. I enjoy and love to be a part of this committee.

I’m Nepa Gandhi, Secretary of MGSOC, working alongside our vibrant community and dedicated committee. My role is to keep things organised and connected — from meeting minutes to event planning — but my true purpose is helping bring our community together and keeping the heartbeat of MGSOC strong.
For me, MGSOC is more than a society. It’s our shared identity — a place where tradition meets today, and every member feels valued. I’m here to listen, connect, and help us grow together.
